The World Belongs to Dreamers
"The world belongs to dreamers." Have you heard this saying? I searched it online… it did not show as a quote with exact wording. Instead, I found hundreds of inspirational quotes from the worlds' dreamers, including famous figures whose quotes define meaning of their own ‘dreams’. Here are some of my favourite ones:
Eleanor Roosevelt - “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
Oprah Winfrey – “The key to realizing a dream is to focus not on success but significance – and then even the small steps and little victories along your path will take on greater meaning.”
Robert F. Kennedy – “There are those who look at things the way they are, and ask why… I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?”
… Steve Jobs, Michael Jordan, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, … the list goes on and on. All of these famous people and many more are dreamers. In fact, we all are born dreamers, if you can think it, imagine it, then you can dream it and realise it.
I watched this movie “Tomorrowland: A World Beyond” by director Brad Bird. The movie is rated 12+, my son is 8, so it explains why I was watching it by myself. I like the movie, it is very inspiring, and I like the idea behind it – it is somewhat about the dreamers…
I will not spoil it for you, I will only add that George Clooney is one of the lead actors. And, if you wonder what genre is the movie, then I can tell you that it is Science Fiction, Action-Adventure. Our favourite kind.
I and my son are both dreamers. We both dream of big dreams…
One day Sofian, my son, inspired by his school project said to me that he wishes to build a machine that plants trees everywhere. It is amazing what kids come up with. It makes me proud the way he thinks, so innocent and true. Maybe one day!
Sofian loves to spend time outdoors in the nature. He have many creative ideas, such as: to mix-up potions in the water (usually in an empty bottle or in a puddle) from various plants, sticks and mud; to dig up muddy puddles in hope to find a ‘treasure’ (maybe a stone or a confused worm).
Sofian with his boundless energy is always on a move to explore the world. He is my dream…
And I, his mom Zaiga - age 32, have never thought that I would have someone so unique to share my world with and vice versa. It is such a learning curve to have a child. Each day I learn something new. And, learning together is definitely more fun!
My dream… is to travel the world, or the space... I am very curious to know more about amazing places. I want to immerse all of my five senses to the fullest in every culture. To taste delicious foods, to hear amazing stories and unique songs, to feel the power of nature and to talk in many tongues… to smell seasons in different regions, or maybe wine?
It is all about the experience and the moments spent together. On ZS-Adventures.com, we are here to share our dreams with you.
Mostly to inspire you to follow your dreams – because nothing will satisfy you more than a bunch of fulfilled dreams to tick of your list!
Much love from Zaiga and Sofian! xx
